Inflatable stabilizer floats and arms Rugged, yet more portable than our other stabilizer floats because they deflate. Very puncture resistant and they inflate quickly and easily with just a few puffs by mouth -- no need to carry a pump. They have one-way valves, so blow in as hard as you can to top them off and then take your time screwing the cap on. The one-way valves will keep the air from rushing back out and since they can take all the pressure your lungs can give them, you can inflate them hard. They have dual side-by-side mounting rings that attach them to their aluminum arms, so they are firmly held pointing straight ahead. This item is not designed with the up/down adjustment. This item is just floats and arms for adding to a sail kit, rowing setup, or other product that already has crossbar for them to slide into. Our item 1006 rigid stabilizer perform better in some respects but are not as portable and compact to store. The main performance difference is seen in a strong wind, when the float gets submerged on the downwind side. The 1006 stabilizer does fine fully submerged, causing very little drag. The inflatable causes little drag when on top of the water, but if you force it under, it causes a lot of drag.

Canoe Side Rudder - complete with mount Now you can use a conventional rudder even on a canoe and it doesn't have to be a square back canoe. This rudder unit works like a canoe motor mount: Crossbar clamps across the gunwales and sticks out on one side, and rudder pivots off the crossbar. This is the complete unit: crossbar, rudder mount, gunwale clamps, rudder & tiller.
Side Rudder to be used with steering oar crossbar If you already have or are ordering the complete canoe sail kit and want to have the additional option of steering by side rudder, order this item. It comes with a rudder mount that attaches to the steering oar crossbar of the canoe sail kit. It does not have its own crossbar and gunwale clamps (see item 1018 for unit with its own crossbar and clamps). It does not prevent use of the steering oar. Selecting this item will not delete anything from a canoe sail kit ordered at the same time (it is not a substitution item - see item 1019 to get rudder as a substitution).
Pair of hyrdodynamic stabilizer floats This includes just the pontoons (floats) and the vertical float tubes for the hyrdrodynamic canoe stabilizer system. This would be for a do-it-yourself project or for retrofitting a foam stabilizer with the hydrodynamic floats. Note that if you have a really old stabilizer you are upgrading, from before hydrodynamic floats were offered, you will need the float arms too, because the clamping mechanism at the ends of the float arms was upgraded to clamp the vertical float tubes more tightly. Sliding leeboard mount converters (Pair) Allows you to adjust position of leeboards on our "Any Kayak", and inflatable boat sail kits (excluding kits for Pakboat, SVX200, Saturn & similar, where mast position is adjustable instead). Following the instructions provided, you will be able to fine-tune your rig for the combination of hull, sail, sailing conditions and preferences you have. Farther forward gives slightly better upwind performance. Farther back (up to a point) gives less drag and less effort on steering oar to hold course going straight ahead. Too far back gives control problems. Adjustable positioning allows you to adapt rig to wider variety of boats, and to your desired handling characteristics. The inflatable rig and the kayak rig work on rigid canoes if you get sliding leeboard mounts and 2 pair of gunwale clamps. (Canoes need the leeboards farther forward than the standard fixed position for kayaks and inflatables). Changing leeboard position with these sliding mounts requires no tools and can be done in a few seconds provided you aren't also trying to sail the boat at the same time. Do on shore or let your passenger do it for you, so you are not distracted from your duties as skipper!

Electric Air Pump - Power Inflator 12V DC works off car cigarette lighter We tested many inflators before choosing 2 to sell. This is the quietest one we tested. Plugs into cigarette lighter. Has hose and adaptors for different size valves. Will inflate boats to 95% in about 10 minutes. You don't have to hold it, so while main chambers are filling, you can be getting the rest of your gear arranged. Final pressurization has to be done by hand or foot pump. Inflates and deflates.
AC Electric Air Pump Inflator (Coleman) Plugs into house current. Has a hose, which is a big benefit -- otherwise you have to stand there and hold the inflator. The whole point of a power inflator, we think, it to be able to be doing other things while it's working! Will inflate most boats in about 10 minutes. Use a hand or foot pump for a few strokes to achieve final pressure. If you want operation off vehicle power (12V), get item 2015 instead. Either helps you deflate the boat, though we prefer to just roll the boat to force the air out.

Kayakers accessory package - paddles, pump, bag We put this together especially for the Aire Tomcat and Trinity II, but it would be good for other boats too. It consists of: 2 good quality paddles (take apart fiberglass shafts, fairly light) from Clear Blue Hawaii, a bag with shoulder straps for carrying the deflated kayak (from Sea Eagle), and a Bravo 9 foot pump, which is a really good foot pump. The price is based on $75 each for the paddles, $45 for the pump and $39 for the bag.
Compact Carry Bag - fits sail rigs This handy duffel bag is custom made to fit all the parts for the inflatable boat sail kit or kayak kit (excluding pontoons). And, the bag is within the allowable dimensions for standard bags on the airlines. Actual bag is even better than pictured: It is gray and has shopping bag handles in center, made of strong webbing, in addition to shoulder strap. Dimensions are 47" x 9" x 7" with full-length zipper and shoulder strap. The standard leeboards will creat a bulge in the bag that will make it over 9" wide at that point. If you want to avoid that bulge, get the item 5092 leeboard upgrade to the longer, skinnier leeboards.
Alternatives: We have a larger bag -- see item 6005, with room for extra gear or for stabilizer floats. We've flown with it many times and never been charged extra due to its size. Or item 3031 is a lower-priced alternative without shoulder strap.

Rudder Mount for Inflatable Rafts Gives you two eyes on the transom of your inflatable boat for accepting a rudder pin. Bolts to the motor mount fittings on the transom of many inflatable dinghies, including Intex, Sevylor, Navigator and Cheyenne boats. (Motor mount must not be installed). Our own design. You can mount a rudder to a motor mount instead, by adding eyebolts to it, but this is lighter and less bulky. Rudder not included. Please state type of boat in comment section of checkout.
Motor mount for Intex Seahawk Sport 400 etc. Adapts the current Intex motor mount to fit the Seahawk Sport 400 and other pre-2005 Seahawks that have motor mount fittings. This item includes the 3015 motor mount and a set of adaptors to make it work on older Seahawks, including the Sport 400, provided they have motor mount fittings.
Explanation: The motor mount for the current Intex boats won't fit the Seahawk Sport 400 and other older Seahawks. But, with the adaptor we have created, it will fit just fine. For this price, you get motor mount and adaptors.
Book On Learning To Sail -- Jim's Favorite We've read them all (almost) and this is the best "How-To-Sail-For- Beginners" type book out there. It's the one used by the Annapolis Sailing School. It's got one female author and one male author, so both halves of our species were represented in its creation, which for a "how-to" book is a good thing. Giant 66 SF Sail and Spars and Mast Slide Be ready for really light winds with this giant sail. You'll have it mounted on spars already, so the switch from your existing sail will be fast. Mast slide included (see item 4992 for lower price without mast slide). This sail is like our 55 SF sail except the boom is also extended, like the top spar. Heavy duty mast recommended, as with the 55 SF sail. We would not use this sail above 12 mph winds. Best under 10. Terrific value pricing. Color: 2-tone blue (sail B) only. Although we say this is for light winds, at least one of our customers has ignored this limitation with no ill results. The following was posted to the Snark Sailboat Owners Yahoo group by TCraig: "Just went sailing today with my Snark Sunflower with the 66 sq.ft. sail. The wind was gusting to 23mph and the Sunflower was tearing along at 4.5 mph for 2 miles per my Iphone gps app. I think that would be a top speed for the Sunflower. I had to really hike out to keep from capsizing and the mast was bending like crazy with the gusts but the mast was ok in the end. I mention this in case anyone is considering upgrading to the large 66 sq ft sail from the 55 sq ft sail. Be prepared for some energetic sailing!"

Side-saddle Canoe Motor Mount Clamps to one side of the canoe and has no crossbar. Only fits canoes with thick gunwale lips like Old Town. MORE MOTOR MOUNTS CLICK HERE People have adapted it to other canoes with home-made blocking or shims added, but we cannot advise you on this. If you have an Old Town or similar canoe, this is a great solution. For most other canoes, go with the Super Strong Motor Mount (item 5053) or the Hinged Motor Mount (item 5052)or the Any Length Aluminum Motor Mount. For electric trolling motors and gas motors up to 3 HP. Works on either side. Stabilizers recommended when motoring any canoe with any motor mount to prevent capsizing (item 5118). Sail 45 sq ft dacron Custom made 45 SF sail in Dacron fits Snark, SailboatsToGo, Spring Creek and Sea Eagle boats. Excellent workmanship and high quality materials. Dacron is theoretically more efficient at converting wind to boat-moving power than any other fabric, but we don't see a measurable difference in a head-to-head race with our standard nylon sail. These are made after they are ordered, so allow about 3 to 6 weeks. Wide choice of colors (Red, white, 3 shades of blue, turquoise, green, yellow, 2 shades of orange, purple, gold, black, gray, tanbark, pink) and the 4 panels of the sail can be different. Not returnable unless defective. If you want this sail INSTEAD of the standard sail in a sail kit or sailboat you are ordering today, choose item 5017 instead. Spar set - boom, top spar, mast slide for our rigs, Sea Eagle, etc. Segmented (3 sections each) and shock-corded inside, so they folds to 45 inches, but the parts stay together. You fold it with the sail still on the spars, for fast setup and take down. Fits our rigs, Sea Eagle, SOAR too. Add item 5160 (spar extension) to fit Sunflower or our rigs with 55 SF sail. Mast slide is on pivot, so sail can be furled and stored vertically against the mast, held up by the halyard, without taking the mast slide loose from the mast. Spars are aluminum, for light weight and strength. Plastic loops riveted in place on spars to locate halyard (rope for raising sail) and sheet (rope for controlling sail).

Motor Rudder short rudder head and u-bolt If you want to sail your Zodiac-type boat with our #2009 sail rig, but also keep your outboard on the transom, one option for steering while sailing is to mount the rudder blade to the motor. All you need are: (a) This short rudder head and included square u-bolt, (b) the rudder that comes with the #2009 sail rig, and (c) an outboard stabilizer plate you obtain elsewhere ($59 - we'll tell you where) . Mad River Adventure canoes require special clamps ($40 extra); request them in comment section of checkout. Safety note: Motoring solo from the rear seat of a canoe is dangerous, because the uneven weight distribution puts the bow up in the air, and then the thrust of the motor can put it more up in the air, to the point where you could flip or swamp. At a minimum, put some weight up front. Better yet, turn canoe around and use the bow seat as the rear seat, which will put you and the motor closer to the middle. A set of our leeboards will improve steering control and help you fight crosswinds (item 5056). Set of our canoe stabilizers also strongly recommended for capsize prevention. See item 5215 for a motor mount that accepts stabilizer pontoons without need for another crossbar and is available in any length without need for extension.
extension for #5052 and #5053 canoe motor mounts Fits either item 5052 or 5053 so that you can move the motor mount foward on your canoe. Most canoe motor mounts won't accomodate the width of a canoe anywhere but very close to the stern. This extension allows either of the two preceding motor mounts to go up to 30 inchs. (Low shipping cost assumes you are buying other items. If purchased solo, we will add $5 shipping).
Snap-in Motor Mount Motor mount snaps into end of our stabilizer crossbar or front crossbar of sail kit. The telescoping arm of your stabilizer float passes right through the motor mount and engages the stabilizer crossbar normally. Works great with Minn Kotas. With other brands, if your motor clamp won't open wide enough (2 3/4") to fit this mount as shipped, instructions are provided to turn one block on edge (pre-drilled for this) and you'll need to buy two longer bolts locally.
Leeboards and moveable mounting for canoe Clamp this leeboard set onto your canoe near the front to help you go straight. Leeboards are like paddle blades in the water, aligned to help you go straight. Greatly improves steering control and resistance to crosswinds when motoring and allows you to move the motor location forward without loss of steering ability. Motoring from the extreme rear of a canoe can be dangerous (risk of swamping or tipping). Motoring in a crosswind can present control problems. Add leeboards, move motor farther from rear end (using an add-on seat or by turning canoe around and using bow seat as the stern seat) and these problems are reduced. Stabilizers also recommended for motoring. Leeboards help with paddling and rowing too, but effect is not as dramatic. Unit includes: Telescoping crossbar with threaded ends to accept leeboard bolts, 2 leeboard and mounting bolts with hand knobs, pair of gunwale clamps. No-tool, no drill mounting system; adjustable to fit all canoes.
Electric Motor Package A 30-lb thrust electric trolling motor and a convenient rechargeable power pack with built-in charger and power meter and carry handle. We put this together with convenience in mind: Ordinarily, you buy a motor, then you have to go shopping for a battery and then a charger and when you're done you've got a system that's not so convenient to carry, store, charge and live with in your boat. With this package, the battery is thin and tall and can easily be strapped to a canoe thwart or inflatable grab line (strap included), is not so heavy (20 lbs), has built in charger for AC or charge while you drive from car cigarette lighter, has built-in power meter, and is in a sealed case - no worry ever about spilling battery acid! Yet it has enough power to take you 2 miles on one charge (20 amp-hour) in a small boat, average conditions. Want 4-mile range? Buy a second power pack (next item). One charge on one battery (about 5 cents worth of electricity) will allow you to cruise for an hour on the "3" setting (out of 5) on the speed control. Power pack is a truck jump starter and will also start your car in an emergency using its included cables. Has accessory output (cigarette lighter style socket). High Seat SR - Seating Surface For Crossbar Turns our double-tube crossbar (item 5034) into a seat. Add this seating surface to our canoe stabilizer and now you've got a combination stabilizer and seat. It's a wide, flat, bench seat (7 1/2" x 40"), so it could also be used as a table or workbench afloat. Plug our rowing outriggers (item 5030) into the crossbar underneath and it serves as a great rowing seat -- nice to have the crossbar under you instead of in front of you! Ethafoam canoe sponsons - foam flotation - 1 pair Some canoes will sink if swamped. Sponsons add flotation to help keep swamped canoe afloat. Might save your canoe, might even save the life of a person clinging to overturned canoe. Each sponson is a 4" diameter half-round, that is 9 feet long. Together, the pair of sponsons provide about 45 lbs of flotation (meaning they displace 45 lbs of water) which might make the crucial difference between sinking and floating. Add a pair of our stabilizer floats, and there's another 50 lbs (approx) of flotation. Pair of float arms Pair of float arms for the stabilizer system. These are the horizontal arms that slide into the crossbar clamped to your boat. They have a spring button in one end that engages a hole in the crossbar to lock the telescoping action. On the other end they have clamps to receive the vertical float tube coming up from the pontoon float.

Snark Rig - Everything for a Snark but Hull Found a Super Snark or Sea Snark hull at a yard sale but lack all the other parts? This is your package! It's a complete sailboat minus the hull: Sail, mast, spars, ropes, rudder, tiller, gudgeon, rudder pin, daggerboard. Not included because they usually are not lost: Mast seat (the wooden bench screwed to the hull) and the mast sleeve (the metal insert going from the mast seat into the hull. These are available at extra cost. If the gudgeon on your snark is black plastic and not metal, tell us and we'll delete the gudgeon from your order and refund $10. The gudgeon is the fitting on the back that the rudder attaches to. Older models have a metal gudgeon that will not mate up with the modern rudder. The current gudgeon design is black plastic and it is screwed to outside of transom.

Any Length Aluminum Motor Mount for Canoes This all-aluminum canoe motor mount is sturdy and versatile. Available in many different lengths so it can span a wide canoe. Made from the same aluminum extrusion as our crossbars so it can accept our slip-on wheels. The block where the motor clamps on is 4 inches tall by 8 inches wide. Standard over-all lengths are 36 inches, 40 inches and 45 inches (including the 8-inch block) so the different size motor mounts can span (respectively) 28 inches,
32 inches or 37 inches. Custom lengths are $20 more. Specify length in the comments section of your checkout page.The clamps slide to align with your canoe gunwales so it can't be too long. Extra length can just overhang. Most people will do fine with the 36 incher, so we'll send that if you don't specify. Kayak Stabilizer with Ethafoam Floats Outrigger floats, crossbar, mounting legs and special low-profile brackets for attaching the mounting legs to the deck of your kayak. This is for small cockpit kayaks (cockpit under 65" long) and large-cockpit kayaks that lack a suitable gunwale lip for accepting canoe gunwale clamps. Large cockpit kayaks can use canoe stabilizers (clamps on gunwales instead of bolting on) if they have a suitable gunwale lip. Sit-on-top kayaks that lack any hatch to get to underside of deck near mounting location can still use these stabilizers; you just need to purchase the rubber well nuts (expansion nuts) we sell so it can be mounted entirely from the top.

Get it for the inflatable boat sail rig even if you don't get stabilizers, so you'll have extra room for a towel and a life jacket and a few other odds and ends. Although it's technically too big for the airline free baggage allowance, Jim (SailboatsToGo owner) has flown with it many times and never gotten hit with an over-sized bag fee. They weigh stuff, but rarely measure dimensions. If you want a bag that fits within airline dimension restrictions and can hold the sail rig excluding stabilizer floats, see item 3012 (item 3012 bag requires upgraded leeboards; item 6005 bag does not). For a similar size bag that has wheels, see item 6021.
Braces for foam floats If you sail or motor with foam floats pressed hard on the water and moving fast in the water, the foam floats may eventually develop some play between the float and the vertical tube it is mounted on. A pair of these braces will keep the foam floats pointed straight ahead, preventing that play from developing, or correcting it if it has already developed. Not needed with hydrodynamic floats, inflatable floats nor even with the foam floats in moderate use. Braces may only be used with floats in up position but floats are easily released from braces to go into down position. If you are sailing with foam floats, we think you will want the braces.

Ethafoam stabilizer system for Wavewalk Kayak Ethafoam stabilizer float system clamps onto the cockpit lip of your Wavewalk kayak. Ethafoam floats are a fine, lower-cost alternative to hydrodynamic floats if you are not motoring or sailing.

Hinged Motor Mount for Wavewalk Kayak Like item 6036 but it has a hinged block that your trolling motor clamps onto, instead of fixed block. Advantage: If you hit an underwater object, the motor will tip up, turning it into glancing blow. Disadvantage: Not good for running motor in reverse and tipping up with motor's own tip-up mechanism is a little tricky.
