General Information About Shopping On SailboatsToGo.com

Search

International Orders

International orders  are welcome.    Canadian sail rig orders please also purchase item 8890 or 8891, which is a flat added charge for most Canadian destinations .  Item 1999 or 6009 covers sail rigs to many other countries.   Elsewhere, email for shipping cost (jim@sailboatstogo.com).  Please include your address and postal code.  Hablamos Espanol.  Stabilizers:  Canoe stabilizer page including international shipping costs.    Warning:  Many countries charge taxes on imported goods, which you have to pay to your government.  We don't collect these taxes.  Ask your customs service or post office.  International warranty claims:  Saturn boats have no warranty outside the United States.  Shipping cost for warranty replacements or repair of all other products are the responsibility of the customer, to the extent they exceed domestic shipping costs. 

Sales Tax    

We are licensed to collect sales tax only in Massachusetts, so you will not be charged tax in other states upon initial checkout, but that doesn't always mean you're off the hook for the tax.   Some items are shipped for us by suppliers who are licensed in other states and sometimes they will charge out-of-state sales tax on an item you ordered.   In such cases, we will put through a second charge on your card for the amount of the sales tax paid to your state.  Also:  In the case of boats or trailers that have to be licensed, you may have to pay the tax when you license the item. If we have already charged you tax, we will provide proof of that to show your licensing authority.

You've already got a sail, mast and spars that will work with our rigs and inflatable sailboats, so send us an email and we'll sell you the rest for $250 less than the cost of a complete boat.     Sales@sailboatstogo.com  It will be fun to have different hulls your sail will work on.  The inflatable and the canoe hold more people and offer more comfort (back support!) and keep you dryer (sail even in the Spring and Fall!) so we think you will find they really enhance your enjoyment.   We are also Snark dealers, so if you want a Snark sailboat or any parts for Snarks, we're here to help:  click the red words.

Payment

Many Different Ways to Order and Pay --   Our shopping cart accepts all major credit cards.  We also accept  checks, money orders, credit cards, debit cards and wire transfers.    Although Paypal is not on our shopping cart, you can pay us with PayPal.  Use our shopping cart to get your order together and total it.  Then send us the list of items and the pay the dollar total here:  PayPal Payments Page

Size, Color, Special Requests Related to Your Order  

There is a comment space on the checkout page (shopping cart checkout or PayPal checkout)  where you can supply any additional information to go with your order.   We will definitely read it!   

Shipping Damage 

Do not sign for a delivery without opening the box and inspecting the contents.   The paper you are signing says "received in good condition" and it absolves the carrier of responsibility for a damage claim.

Deliveries & Timing

Most items are delivered by UPS, Postal Service, or FedEx.  Items are in stock and will be shipped within a week, generally.  Exceptions to this generalization are either stated in the product description or will be communicated to you by email after your order and you will have the opportunity to cancel.  Tracking numbers are sent to you.   Some larger items are delivered by truck, as explained in the product listing for those items.  

Shipping Cost

The shipping cost we quote you is your cost.  What we pay for shipping may be higher or lower, but we stand behind any shipping cost we have quoted to you.   The shipping cost we quote includes handling, packaging, pick up, transit, delivery and insurance.   Generally, the insurer is Sailboats To Go, but not always.  In any case, you are not at risk for shipping damage if you inform us of it immediately and havenlt signed a receipt saying "received in good condition."   Shipping cost DOES NOT include tax.   If you are  outside the 50 states of the USA it does not include any import duty, customs brokerage or VAT -- you may have to pay these things.
