This is a package deal on item 8024 (High performance rudder for Snark and Sunflower) plus the gudgeon. Gudgeon (pictured) is the black plastic plate that screws to the back of the boat and accepts the rudder pin. We offer these two parts together because some people need to replace their gudgeon in order to install a new rudder. If you have the old metal gudgeon then there is no rudder available that is compatible, so you have to replace the metal one with the new plastic design that is compatible with today's rudders.
