If you already have or are ordering the complete canoe sail kit and want to have the additional option of steering by side rudder, order this item. It comes with a rudder mount that attaches to the steering oar crossbar of the canoe sail kit. It does not have its own crossbar and gunwale clamps (see item 1018 for unit with its own crossbar and clamps). It does not prevent use of the steering oar. Selecting this item will not delete anything from a canoe sail kit ordered at the same time (it is not a substitution item - see item 1019 to get rudder as a substitution).
