Product Description

This is the plastic piece that attaches to the transom (back of the boat) and accepts the rudder pin to connect the rudder to the boat. The OEM version is all plastic but ours has a black plastic base plate and black-painted aluminum fittings mounted to it to accept the rudder pin. No iron or steel so no rust!

This will not work as a replacement for the older gudgeon that looks like half a door hinge unless you also replace your rudder with a modern one. And if you are buying a new rudder for an old boat with "door-hinge" gudgeon, you need this gudgeon to mount the new rudder.

This is small and light, so we will not charge shipping if we can just throw it in the box with other stuff you are ordering that has enough of a shipping charge, but if we can't then we will charge $9 shipping to your card in a day or 2.
