We hear so many sad stories about people whose OEM mast support tube broke or got lost, so we designed a replacement that is all metal. Unlike plastic, it won't get brittle with age. This is aluminum and stainless steel. An eye is provided to tie off your halyard. Or add the CamJam Cleat for the convenience of a cam cleat instead of having to tie a knot at the eye.
