Segmented (3 sections each) and shock-corded inside, so they folds to 45 inches, but the parts stay together. You fold it with the sail still on the spars, for fast setup and take down. Fits our rigs, Sea Eagle, SOAR too. Mast slide is on pivot, so sail can be furled and stored vertically against the mast, held up by the halyard, without taking the mast slide loose from the mast. Spars are aluminum, for light weight and strength. Plastic loops riveted in place on spars to locate halyard (rope for raising sail) and sheet (rope for controlling sail).
