Splicing piece for crossbar

You need two of these to splice double-tube crossbars together end-to-end to make one long crossbar. You need just one for single-tube crossbars. This is a 14-inch 1x1 square tube with a spring button at each end. It goes inside the two crossbars and its spring bottons pop up through the first hole in each crossbar to lock the two together. The resulting joint is plenty strong -- strong enough for all purposes. Yet it comes apart and goes back together easily. Shipping added afterward in a separate transaction if necessary. If the other items in the order cover the shipping, then there is no additional charge. Figure about $10 shipping for one or two if ordered on their own.
